i'm very extremely sorry for the
veerrrrrryyyy long delay in updating the blog...

this entry is gonna be a summary
of all that had happened before
this entry is composed...

i'm gonna do this from
the most recent event backwards...
so bear with me...

Some of our club members...
are going to Mt Rinjani, Indonesia
from 3rd to 8th Sep 2007...
Mt Rijani (3726m) is the 3rd largest volcano
(yah,you read it...VOLCANO) in Indonesia...
and...mind you...its still active...
best of luck to all the pple going there...
esp to our adventure team...

Jasmine's Departure...
31st Aug 2007...

As most of you know...
that time Hafiz aka komeng went to France
for overseas attachment...
for 3 months long...
Now...it's Jasmine"s turn...
she's going Germany for a good 1 month...

Round Island Hike...
20th to 22nd July 2007...

or should i say half island hike..?
hehe....the trip was...well..obviously..tiring...
of course lah...

sometimes i think we've taken
a lot of things for granted...
now that some of us have experienced
some parts of S'pore by foot,
we begin to...(at first, complain...)
well...we begin to take things more seriously...

here's a good example...
we've always taken for granted
that we CAN walk....
when we trekked for days,
we complained....
but one thing's for sure...
at the end of the day...
you are grateful that
you have that pair of legs to walk with...
most of us will neglect this
not-so-vital-but-yet-important part of our body...

lets put that aside...
i have no pictures of this hike...
i've yet to take all the pics from our Mr Rafi...
but a short summary of the route...
we walked from NYP towards Kranji War Memorial
via Khatib, Yishun...
to Chua Chu Kang....to West Coast...
back to NYP via MacRitchie Reservoir, Bishan & Ang Mo Kio...

Rockamania XIII
14th & 15th July 2007...

Pls do remind me to return some money
to those who took part in Rocka XIII...
yeah...we've got the claim from Mr Wilfred...
but mind you...you wont get to claim for other competitions though...
unless you are selected by the committee to be sponsored by school...

Put that aside...
just wanna say that everyone did their best &
they did a good job...
no worries k...we'll have more trainings
so that you can get better...

Only one of us managed to go into finals...
And it's none other than our dear Jasmine...
i cant remember what position she got...
(i'm so sorry jasmine...)
i think it's 6th...around that position lah...
really cannot remember...sorry...

Community Service
30th June 2007

This is our 1st ever community service done as a club...
not just our club...
we had Harmonica Ensemble with us too...
All of us showed the softer side of ourselves...
Harmonica group performed songs in every room...
except for the workers' quarters' room...
the visit was really an eye opener for some...
we got good feedbacks...
some say "do it again!"...
so yah...we're gonna organise another community service...
coming soon...

Pumpfest 2007
1st to 3rd June...

Congrats to all!
Two of our very own climbers
managed to be one of the finalists...
Jasmine & Hafiz (not komeng, but another hafiz)...
Hafiz made it to the 2nd position in Internediate Men category...
(oh man,my memory really sucks...
this is a result of not updating regularly...
haiz...sorry pple...)

One of our teams made it 3rd place...
the team included Rafi, Tess, Liyana & myself, Nazriyah...
yeah...

so thats about it pple...
im so very sorry for that very long delay...
it does contribute to ADC being dead...
so sorry...
oh yah...

Trainings as usual!
Mondays & Fridays for climbing...
Wednesdays for ATC...
it's confirrmed that we can climb on Mondays...
we have successfully managed to exchange our Weds with the other club....
so yeah! its Mondays...unless there's any change...

for those who are joining novice and those who are coming down to support our fellow climbers, meet up at DOVER MRT station at 8.30am k...

for 12 May Sat...
qualifying rounds for novice women and men will be taking place...
9am -- Registration (novice women)
1215pm -- Registration (novice men)
will end at about 9.45pm...

for 13 May Sun
qualifying rounds for intermediate women and men
9am -- Registration (Intermediate women)
1215 -- Registration (intermediate men)
ends at roughly 7.45pm   

for 19 May Sat
this is the day for intermediate finals
& qualifying rounds for open women and men
starting from 10.30am to about 9.15pm

for 20th May Sun
i think this the most exciting day...
coz this will be the time that u get to see
some of the strongest climber in the open finals!!!
starting from 10.30am till 9.30pm
we have the novice finals
& the open finals...

Club Crawl is coming up....on the 18th & 19th of April...
which is just next Wednesday & Thursday....
it'sjust around the corner...

so guys &girls...a shoutout to all...
we need all the manpower we've got to help out
in all the preparation for the club crawl....
by the way...help is needed on MONDAY & TUESDAY...

to set up the booth....

Berkelah Waterfalls trip was a great one...
besides the scratches,the cuts and the bites,there was no major accident...
maybe just 2 very funny near-drown incident that happened
to both ahmad n naz (female)...wahahaz....

Adventure Training Course

i'm not sure if u guys have heard about this
but the coming semester we are having a 6-mth course
for all the people who signed up with our club
and also the existing members of the club...
we need ideas for the name of the course...
not just a plain "adventure training course"...
so pple...pls give some ideas for the name...
the tagboard is always open to all...

Just FYI the school wall is closed for the whole of april...
i guess some or most of u know about it already...
well...we'll just be climbing at other places lah...

Singapore Heart Foundation is orgainising a charity walk on the 10th March 2007.

$3 for the 3-km fun walk.

$15 for the 10,000 steps walk.

It well commence from 8am til 11am starting from Marina City (near Marina Bay).

Hello ADC-ians!!!

Just informing you guys that on the 16th (Fri), 17th (Sat) and 18th (Sun) of March 2007.. Komeng and Berockz wil be going on a 3day 3nite bag-packing trip to KL.. We are going to Camp5 and Summit Climbing Gym this time around..

Accomendation is free, Transport is around S$35, Food S$20, to enter Camp5 S$9 and to enter Summit S$3. Total amount of money to bring is around S$80 to S$100.
